My Favorite Gluten-Free Snacks

      Happy Wednesday friends!! Today I wanted to share some gluten-free snacks I've been loving lately. I'm not gluten-intolerant, but ever since I cut out grains during our few weeks of the Whole30, I've realized that my body just generally feels better when I'm not consuming so many grains. Don't get me wrong, I DEFINITELY still love me some pasta, but I want to try and limit my intake to once a week, or even less! My sister has been gluten intolerant for a few years now, and while it seemed impossible to find gluten-free substitutes for her in the beginning, over the last few years SO many companies and brands are creating gluten-free options for pretty much everything.

      Surprisingly, I find a lot of gluten-free (and some vegan) foods at discount stores like HomeGoods and TJMaxx. HomeGoods especially has a lot of interesting options in their food section, and if you've never really browsed around that part of the store, you should definitely check it out next time you go in. I've bought chia seeds, flax meal, vegan granola bars, and mixed nuts - just to name a few - for really reasonable prices. Most of the snacks in this post were purchased at HomeGoods the last time I was there! Another great place to shop for gluten/dairy/soy/allergen-free foods is They also have lots of discounted snacks and special food items, and it's SO convenient to have it all delivered right to your door. It's a great option for those of you who might be looking for some more variety. Keep reading to see a few of my favorite GF snacks!*

1// Live GFree Black Sesame Brown Rice Crisps - I buy these at Aldi! They're great by themselves or eaten with cheese or guacamole. I also love eating these with tuna salad in place of regular crackers! If you don't have an Aldi store near you, you can purchase these on Amazon.

2// Trader Joe's Inner Peas Green Pea Crisps - these are SO addicting. It's seriously so hard not to eat the entire bag.

3// Trader Joe's Mixed Nut Butter - this spreadable nut butter is made with seven ingredients: almonds, cashew nuts, walnuts, brazil nuts, hazelnuts, pecans, and sea salt. I love eating this with an apple, or on toast with banana. Major yum.

4// Trader Joe's Wasabi Roasted Seaweed Snack - if you've never had seaweed, just trust me, and give it a try. If you're not into the wasabi flavor, they sell a regular one as well! 


5// theGFB dark chocolate coconut & chocolate cherry almond - these little bites pack a big punch of flavor and they are so. dang. good. All of the ingredients are non-GMO, and not only are they gluten free, they're also soy and dairy free. And an added bonus, there's only 6 grams of sugar per serving!

6// Emmy's Organics Coconut Cookies - these paleo-friendly cookies are so delicious, they literally melt in your mouth. These were a huge WIN for me because I absolutely love chocolate and coconut together. But instead of reaching for an Almond Joy, I can have one of these: way cleaner ingredients and just as yummy.
