Welcome To the Blog!

Hello, and welcome to the blog! I'm Kate, let's get to know each other!

I am 24 years old, born and raised in Pittsburgh, and currently residing in a quiet little suburb with my husband and our two spunky (read: very horribly behaved) cats. I am a Liberty University graduate with a B.S. in Worship and Music studies, and I currently lead worship with my husband and two of our closest friends at our church on Saturday evenings. On my down time, if I'm not chilling out on the couch binge-watching The Office (the obsession is real), I can instead be found in the kitchen, at any number of discount home furnishing stores (Home Goods, just take all my money), scouring Pinterest for a new recipe, or at the bathroom sink, concocting some sort of all-natural skincare product that I instantaneously decided I needed in my routine.

As a bit of a perfectionist, I thrive on trial and error, as long as it means I'm moving forward with something. Whether it be with recipes, DIY projects, home decor, skincare, budgeting finances, or organizational methods, I am always researching, creating and trying new things thinking, "...but how can I do this even BETTER?" Needless to say, I still have a lot to learn about home-making, what works for me in terms of organization, and learning how to add my own touch of style in a space that is not fully our own. I'm definitely one of those girls who buys a new planner every year, and maybe manages to get organized for 1/52 weeks, before deciding "I'll just wait until January." If you've ever said/thought anything similar, we're going to be very good friends.

I decided to create Everyday Kate as an outlet for my creative process, and day-to-day musings, whether it be sharing a DIY, recipe, tips or rants and raves. It's never going to be perfect, but it's fun when you know there are other people along for the ride!

I am just getting started, so bear with me as I tweak and touch up the blog a little more in the coming weeks (there's that perfectionism again), but I hope you will stick around to see more. In the meantime, follow me on Pinterest and Instagram!

Until next time,
